This last weekend, Aaron, his dad, Paul, and our friend Brett did a 100 mile bike ride from Irvine to San Diego! They all did a great job and finished with no problems. Aaron said it was a beautiful ride along the coast. Since my sister, Becky, lives in San Diego I spent most of the weekend with her and let the boys have some guy time. On Saturday Becky and I picked up the guys from the finish line and we all went back to Becky's condo where they showered and got cleaned up. Then we rested and had snacks before bringing them back to the train station where they took the Amtrak back up to Irvine. After that Becky and I spent about 2 1/2 hours at the NEX (Navy Exchange). This is the greatest store because everything is sold at reduced prices and there is no sales tax! The perks of having family members in the military! After that Becky and I made a yummy taco salad dinner and dessert from a restaurant called "Extraordinary Desserts" and then got things together for Aaron's birthday. (see a later post for his birthday details) Becky and I got up bright and early on Sunday morning so she could drive me up to Irvine where Aaron and his dad were staying in the motor home. It was a fun weekend and of course the weather was awesome, so much better than the AZ heat. Here are some photos from the weekend:
