26 Years Old

This evening I am wrapping up my 26th birthday. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and an amazing family. My birthday celebrations actually started yesterday morning when I met Steph and Sarah N. for coffee. Steph was so sweet and had a blueberry muffin on a birthday plate with a birthday napkin with a candle in it waiting for me when I arrived. She had a card and a gift (a very fun cookbook) displayed as well. Her thoughtfulness overwhelmed me and again (just like in the last post) I am so glad for her friendship. Then last night my mom and I had a joint birthday celebration at T-Cooks at the Royal Palms. We sat out on the terrace to enjoy dinner. Afterwards my parents gave me a gift...a sewing machine! Good thing it came with free classes! I have a lot of learning to do! Then this morning Aaron woke me up with Starbucks in hand and my favorite fruit and yogurt parfait...very sweet and thoughtful of my wonderful husband. After that I opened gifts from Becky and Michelle. They both mailed me packages from San Diego and Iowa that arrived perfectly in time. They both seemed to have a pink theme. I think I have made it clear that I like pink because Michelle got me pink shoes and some other fun pink accesories. Becky gave me a pink pajama set. All VERY cute! After getting ready, I went to work as normal and at times even forgot it was my birthday but I was again overwhelmed, this time by the thoughtfulness of my co-workers. They got me a gift certificate for a spa pedicure at the Royal Palms! Oh my gosh I was not expecting that! And I of course can not forget my mother-in-law who was so generous in her birthday wishes for me. Thank you to all my friends for the birthday wishes! It is days like these that I count my blessings and thank God for such caring and thoughtful and generous people in my life.
